Hello 5.0 stangnet! I am interested in a 79-82 model mustang would this be the best site for info on these cars or can you reccomend something? Thanks

The 79-93 mustang platform is basically the same. Its the Fox chassis. Same as the fairmont etc..
Yeah this is a good source for learning.

Unless you are allergenic to or afraid of EFI, I would recommend an 89-93 model 5.0 Mustang. They are very easy to mod and work on. They incorporate numerous improvements in the brakes, electrical system and engine over the 79-86 model 5.0's. The EFI Mustangs engines are much longer lived than their carbed counterparts because the EFI engines run cleaner and cylinder wear is less because of that.
