My son recently bought a 94 gt that has been parked for years. It has an older 331 eagle rotating assembly in it. What we can't figure out is,the harmonic balancer us stock 50 oz,the flywheel is stock with the 50 oz weight removed and 3 holes drilled in it from a machine shop. Also the crank has 3 deep holes drilled in the 1st counterweight. Is it possible its a zero balance and the extra weight was taken out of the crank to use the 50 oz balancer? The guy couldn't remember and tge machine shop is out of business. Thanks for any input.

Sounds like you will need to take the rotating assembly to a machine shop and have them spin it up. Be sure to bring the pressure plate and clutch plate as they will want that as well.

That's what I was thinking, just go ahead and have it checked. I don't see how he drove it 7k miles without a vibration.

Are you sure the harmonic balancer doesn’t have the removable weights like the Ford Racing one? Just asking as it may be the weights are removed and it’s actually zero balanced.

I think your path forward is taking it to a machine shop.
