Hey, I recently started having my battery light flicker at me when nearing red line. I did some research on here and there were some guys with the same problem and it was their alternator going out. I went to autozone and had them test the battery and alternator. The battery was good, but the charge from the alternator was bad. I bought a brand new alternator, worked great for about 15 minutes no light at red line, then all the sudden battery light comes on and stays on. I go have battery checked again this time at checkers thinking auto zone might have been wrong. The same results battery perfect the alternator not. Can someone help me out..what is going on???

I had both the battery and alt replaced on my 02 under warranty - why didn't you take it back to Ford and have them fix it for free?
My issue was similiar in that it flickered on and off, but at any speed or RPM...there was no consistancy to it.
