My front brakes were dragging really bad, so I bought new calipers and stainless steel lines. I figure I can rebuild the old calipers and use them on one of my other mustangs. Anyway...

My problem came when changing the stainless lines. The flare nuts were already stripped when I went to take them off the stock lines. I tried to put them on the new lines and they stripped even more. I then couldn't get them to stop leaking, ie. tight enough. So, I went to take them off and couldn't get them off. I ended up cutting the tubes right behind the flare nut. Does anyone know where I can get new lines from the ABS block to the front brakes or can I fix the lines and reflare with new flare nuts? If so, where do I get them? I don't have a double flaring tool yet. Where can I get one of those? Would it be better to just buy the whole hard lines?
Thanks
Ben

Hmmm... sound like a big headache, man! It kinda sounds like a dealer only item or maybe something you could get from a specialty Mustang shop or salvage yard.

You can buy the brake line and make them yourself.. That's what I'd do anyways

Did you use a flare nut wrench on the flare nuts? Makes a big difference...

double flare is the best, but single flares work for a while
