I want to get a cat-back but i dont want something that will be really loud and drone. I want something thats quiet unless im on it and that will sound nice and deep. I Have a SLP catted x-pipe and was looking at either the regualr magnaflows or the regular borlas. Does any one have a preference of those two or is there something else I should be considering?

I dont know about the slp midpipe.... but i have a magnaflow magnapack catback, and could not be any happier with it! I LOOOOOVE IT! Its not too incredible loud at normal driving conditions, but when you punch it..... wow, its just sick.

The regular magnaflows are very quiet when cruising, but when u get on it they sound sick....They were a little too quiet for me, so I swapped the mufflers for some Bassani mufflers. the Bassanis sound sick, & they arent too loud for a daily driver.

I like how the magnaflows are quiet when cruising and loud when you get on it so Im Kinda leanin towards the magnaflow. My Friend TrueBlue03 has the same midpipe as I do and he has magnapacks so those are too loud for me

i figured so, thats why i didnt suggest them. i say magnaflows are too overused as well as flowmaster though, so i would go bassani or borla. i love borla's...the ones i heard anyway

I agree with EpikGT, get Bassani's. They are pretty quiet unless you get on it, then it is a different story. They have a nice deep tone and hardly any drone, nothing like the Flowmaster drone.

You can get the Bassani BX catback off of ninosport.com for around $465.

everyone wants to be different, but when you buy things like Borla and Macs or SLP's thats not different at all now of days it seems. It seems like everyone is jumping on the non flow banwagon, only making the "less populaR" muffler.. popular like flows ;]

Anyways, get the mac catback. It not really loud unless you make it loud with the catted X.
edit: I do agree Flows are used alot on mustangs, but also Flowmasters seem like the #1 muffler for non mustangs. People think.. "oh flowmasters" lets get them for your caddy (i heard it) or lets put flows on our pickup truck or SUV. Most of those cars keep the cats on and the flows sound deep, but weak. With the o/r mustang.. the flows are a different animal i think.

****, with that said pick out yourself a Flowmaster catback. The flowmaster will be quiet as hell with a catted midpipe unless you really step on it. Plus the flowmaster kit comes with Delta mufflers i believe which removes almost all the interior noise.

I think my combo is pretty different since Im runnin an MRT catted H with Bassani mufflers instead of an x. Ive had Flows, Magnaflows, & Bassani's, & I think the Bassanis take the cake. Heres a crappy sound clip....
