I'm replacing my push-rods & am in need of some advice as to what length "adjustable" push-rod checker should I use?

In the Jeg's catalog there is eight different length-ranges to choose from & I have NO idea what my "starting-point" should be.

Any help would be appreciated - Thanks...

BTW, here are a few spec's if needed.

engine: 302
heads: 351
rockers: Jegs 1.6
lifters: solid
cam: intake: duration - 274* lift - .541
exhaust: duration - 288* lift - .528

Let me know if you need any additional information...

If you use a flat-tappet cam (solid or hydraulic), you will need a longer checker than if you were using a roller cam. For a roller, you need something that spans the range of 6.1 - 6.4". My pushrods are 6.300" (intake) and 6.350" (exhaust). FOr a flat tappet, measure your current pushrods and get a checker that covers that length, and then some.

This one should do it:

I don't think I can use my current push-rods as a base measurement because they are for the hydraulic cam that I just replaced with the solid...

Do you think that the adjustable summit checker that is displayed in the link will still be suitable for the distance that I need?

Thanks.

Yes, it is good out to 7.5", which should be plenty long enough.
