I don't know if this is the right place to post this but since i don't know my way around this forum here it goes lol:

So my buddy bought some fog lights for his 01 Bullit Mustang on ebay and he got the package today. He called me up to install them but when we opened up the box only the lights with the assemblies were in there...no wiring harness or switch...so the question here is the following: where can he find the wiring harness and switch? I'm not a mustang guy as you can tell and he isn't very good at the internet lol...thanks!

Building a harness is one option. Or if it were mine, I'd go to the junk yard, find a GT and pull its harness, relays and switch. Using the factory stuff might take a little longer to do, because you will have to figure out exactly how the factory set it up, then interface it into the bulitt. I dont have a Bulitt so I cant say for sure, but being that it's built on the GT platform it might have some of the wiring for the fogs in it already. I'd look for unused wiring connectors by the fog light openings and by where the switch would be. You might get lucky. Hopefully a bulitt owner can chime in and confirm/ deny this.

yeah when i went under the car there were two harnesses around where the fog lights would go...they were plugged to some plastic housing..i connected it to the lights and it plugged right in but when we turned on the lights nothing happened. The black housing where the harness is plugged doesn't seem to go anywhere, but i don't know for sure so i left them were they were just in case they where for some sensors or something. If anybody can chime in that would be great. If those harnesses are for the fog lights do we need the switch by the stereo to be able to turn them on?

You proably found the harness for the fogs. But the fogs have their own switch in the cabin in the shifter bezel. Try to get ahold of a fog switch and see if you have the harness plug behind the shifter bezel.
