I just keep having issues with this install.... The latest problem I've run into is the fog lights. I've got a new roush stage 3 fascia in place, and I installed the proper wiring harness and everything. The lights worked fine after I tested them. The next day I wanted to protect the connections (The kit I had didn't have replacement hardshells on the harnesses, so the wires just plugged in, partially exposed from the back) so I wrapped them up tight in electrical tape (Not a good call, I guess?) The next time I pulled the switch (No engine running); I could smell something burning, and some smoke rising up from the passenger side of the hood. Quickly I killed the switch and disconnected everything. After that, I looked around closely to see what had produced the smoke/burn. The tape seemed to be ok, the connections weren't burned, and the bulbs were still perfect. I couldn't figure it out. So I checked my relay and fuse. The fuse was fine, but the relay had a little bit of burn discoloration on two of the prongs. I replaced it with the correct relay, thinking that had been the problem, and tried again. No light. Lastly, I put a test light to it, and it seems I've got no power going to the fogs. What else could it be? Stock GT fogs are 899 bulbs, and the new bulbs are 9005s. That’s not a huge deal is it? Even if it was, I’d be able to get power back by replacing the relay, right?
