I cant figure out how to get it off, what exactly do i have to take off???? I have the nut taken off (castle nut) all the hoses and lines, the pump evreything, but what do i have to loosen or take off in order to slide it out!!! it wont slide out of the pitman arm (that arm that connects to the steering box)

Get a ball joint fork in between the arm and the control valve thing and it should pop right out, I used a BFH on mine but the motor was out and I had the room.

There is a rool pin in the threads of the center link that helps to prevent the control valve from turning. Remove the bolt from the clamp that holds the valve on the center link, then spread the clamp apart enough to move it then slide it off. You should be able to see the roll pin if it is there. Grab it with some vise grips , twist and pull it out. Sometimes the roll pin is no there. I broke mine off and just drove the remainder of it farther into the hole in order to get the control valve off.

BTW using a ball joint fork to remove the control valve from the pitman arm is not good for the valve. Use a tie rod end puller instead.
