I need help getting my glovebox open... I went to open it to get some stuff out of it and it wouldn't. The handle moves freely but it wouldn't budge. I tried to unlock it with my keys and after some struggling the lock cylinder just fell out. Any way I can get it open easily?

Thanks

This happened to me b4. I took out the 2 screws at the bottom of the glove box that attach to the the glove box to the dash. With those screws removed the glove box was loose enough that I was able to get a screw driver to the latch and unlatch it.

exactly, just unbolt the bottom bolts holding the hinges in. I think they are 5/16 size.

Mine used to do that. The last retainer clip would fall out. I ended up doing something funky, but I dont recall what. It stays now.
WHen it would fall out, I would check all the tumblers and stick the last one back in and shove it all back in there and jiggle it into place. Then it worked.

BTW, who decided that a plastic 'lock' was a good idea?
