I have a 1997 mustang gt and i want to take the side vents off to paint them, but i cant figure out how to get them off. the vents on the hood came off with bolts. Are the side ones the same and i have to get in the backseat, inside the kick panel?
yeah you need to take a screw driver and push the white tabs in that are under the seat and then the seat will pop out then you need to dig through all the insulation to get to a hole in the metal with plastic over tear the plastic out and then you will find 3 bolts that hold the vents in, and instead of painting mine i just went and found a blue mustang and took them off it, and replaced mine, trust me it looks alot better than painting them.
