I have a built 347 with an unknown cam ....anyway to identify without pulling out the cam? I am planning on installing a terminator x in it. Will the ecu self calibrate with an unknown cam?

Not really if pulling the cam is too much work, measuring it at multiple points is even more work. and no term x self tuning is a marketing gimic, its a base map pretty much. Still need someone who knows what there doing to fine tune it.

Tuner can tune pretty much any combo without knowing what it is, there just going off afr readings and what the dynoed tells em.. Me I'd rather know what's in the motor, and reseal it anyway, half the its got a cam cars are just a poor ideling stock short blocks in my experience.. but I've bought cars people flipped and robbed parts off before, I ended up with a scat forged 347 with a stock cam and e7te heads on it at one point. Ppl do dumb stuff with these cars and how often they have been flipped and parted out the last 10 years especially. I don't trust half the sellers unless I know them , they have paper work or can prove the parts otherwise just too many flippers into them now.. Bore scopes come in handy but they won't tell ya the cam in it.
