i just put a new tps on,new tstat, now my temp reads normal. i have 24lb injectors, 40psi set fuel pressure. i fixed a bunch of the little problems except this one that has me stumped.

when i start the car when its cold its like a chokeless carb..i have to keep feeding it throttle untill it gets warm.

then it will run like its loading up and start popping for about a mile or if i let idle for about 30 seconds and then it just clears and idles and runs normal.

if you shut the car off and restart it will idle fine..then all of a sudden it pops like too much fuel and then it clears and runs ok....what is causing this?? i

ve replaced just about everything. also if you hit the gas the rpms hang and then slowly drop. when this thing runs it runs good but seems like it should run better though...im completly lost i dont know what to check next..i pulled the plugs and they look like new...kinda lean...when this thing runs it burns my eyes like its too rich

When you installed the new TPS ddi you check it with a VM? With the key on and engine off it should show between.50 to 1.0 volt at idle and when you crack the throttle wide open it should read between 4.0 and 5.0 volts. I had a rough idle problem and this did it for me. The housing for the TPS on mine is adjustable, maybe yours is too. You may want to also check the IAC valve. It may need a good cleaning.

all my voltages are normal at the tps....i have a pro flow maf. i sealed the leaking block off for my egr valve today...i put the egr valve back on...with the vacuum hooked up it wont run...if i unhook it its ok

after running and getting warm it starts loading up and missing again...then clears out and idle moves up and down like another vacuum leak but cant find anymore....also while this thing runs a helluva whisttle noise is coming from something ..i believe its the air filter area...sounds like an old car with too big of a carb.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr im pulling my hair out

See the "Surging Idle Checklist for help with all your idle/stall problems. Everything you need to find and fix idle problems is in there.

The first two posts contain all the updates to the fixes. At last count there were 24 possible causes and fixes for surging idle/stall problems. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions.

The how to dump codes tech tip is in there...
