Help Looking Up A Vin Number

I'm looking at a 2004 Mustang GT with a rebuilt title so I wanted to look at it's history to see why it has it. When I tried to look into it I found out it was going to cost a decent amount of money. I was wondering if there is a free way I could look into it's history or if there is someone with a premium CarFax account who'd be willing to do it for me.
