Help me and my rear plz

I still have the 7.5 unit and I know 12 second ETs will be hard to come by with it due to lack of both tires pushing the car. What is the cheapest place to get an 8.8 rear WITH trac-lok. I don't mind rebuilding. What ford/mercury rears have the lenth, size etc. that I'm looking for. And rear gear doesn't matter because if it's getting rebuilt I'll just do that at the same time. Most likely goin 3.73 Thanks

Cheapest place would be at a J/Y [pick and pull or whole car] It will just depend on what type of rear brakes you want

a) drums - circa 87-93 mustang rears
b)disk w/gears already - circa Tubro coupe rears.

I imagine that option 'a' would be the easier of the two to find and bolt in

If your going through the trouble of putting in a new rear, i would go with the turbo coupe. You get better brakes (i'm sure you how much the stock brakes suck) and you get gears already in the rear.
