I know I know, I read what you posted but the Sparco Torino 2's that I just bought with the belts+brackets are so killer. Yeah they cost a ton but they feel really nice.
I tested a lot of seats out-at first I had my heart set on the Corbeau Cr1's but after sitting in them I quickly changed my mind. I didnt sit in the microsuede, just the other kind and the material sucked balls. It will pill, fade, and wear away much too fast-take it from me my family owns one of the biggest dry cleaners in Ma. and all I work with is (clothing) material.
I sat in a Koing seat that was unfortunatly discontinued but I loved it, I was truly bummed out b/c they sold for like $400 each. So I bit the bullit and got the Sparco's. I guess I dont have regrets though I cant install them until I can get a new carpet to lay down and I cant get the carpet until the seats are paid off.
On the good side I have been sleeping in the passanger seat. I figure since I'll never sit in it I might as well enjoy it since it cost so damn much.
If you cant swing the $1900 and change for the seat combo I would definatly check the Jegs/Summit seats out. They look cool, I just needed something for the autocrossing/com2/dragracing ect that I plan on doing with my car.
Looks like I wont get them in until next summer but by then I'll have done my suspension completely over and my car will finally be cool (except for the faded paint)
Good luck and take the advice you get from people on this site who have aftermarket seats (screw those who dont and are just guessing). If you cheap out their's a good possibility that you will loose out and have to replace the cheapo's much too early. By the time you do that you could have just got a nice set ane be done with it.
PM me with any questions I'd be happy to answer them as I've been through this,
