I've never liked the '05+ basic body style at all. To plain jane. But I do like the Parnelli Jones Mustang, but with only 500 of those made their pretty much out of the question. I test drove an '05 GT back a couple years ago at a car show at a delaership that was giving test drives. They had nice power, but of course I hated the outside look of them, the inside I actually thought had less backseat room than my Mach, the clutch was the biggest clutch I've ever felt, and I thought the shifter was going to come off in my hand it was so noodly. That HUGE emergency brake handle is a nuisance, and I did'nt like the interior styling at all. The salesman asked me if I was going to trade my Mach for it and I laughed in his face. So overall I think you can see my opinion of it .

Yeah, I've been really comparing my options and what I really want to spend and I think I would feel a little ripped off for spending $20,000 on a GT (2005). I'd rather just stick with the SN-95 2.....Honestly our cars are the most "muscular" looking IMO. My cousin Dave has a '97 GT and thinks his looks too "happy" compared to mine. ....anywho, I have been tossing around the idea of a 2001 Cobra. It'll be 3 years till I buy a new stang and I am pretty sure I'll be able to find a nice '01 Cobra for around 13K with approx. 75-90K miles. I think the Mach is friggin' SWEET but I really want to install an '03 Cobra body kit (Front & Rear bumpers and Side skirts) on a stang and don't want to ruin the integrity of a Mach 1's collectible quality. I know there are those that would just say "Dude, why don't you just get an '03 Cobra if you are gpoing to make a 'stang look like one?" Like I said before, I really DON'T want to delve into superchargers right now if ever PLUS I really think an '03 Cobra is WAYYYYYY out of my price range. When we get back from overseas the wife & I are looking to trade the Vibe in for an '07 Jeep Patriot and I still have a 1993 Yamaha Banshee to build and I really am looking to start a 1988-1996 Chevy (Air Ride) sport truck project. Not mention I am an avid guitar Junkie. So I think an '01 Cobra would be a good choice and if I plan on making a 'stang look like a Cobra it might as well be a Cobra right? Question, will the "tumbleport" heads from a '03-'04 Mach1 /Cobra fit the 2001 Cobra? thomas91169 said they flow better. Also does anyone here have any experience with VIS carbon fiber hoods or trunk lids? I saw them a week or two ago and thought they looked pretty nice.
