Any suggestions?

if it free spins you threaded it if you dont want the heads snap it off.

What do you mean I threaded it...?...it is in there from the previous owner...I took off the heads and headers together (pretty heavy...lol...in that tight of a space)...if I tried to snap it off...wouldn't that damage the headers?...

Keep the tips coming...

Good call hatch. With cast iron heads it's easy... heat it till it turns. Aluminum... Grrr... that's a lot tougher if a bolt sticks.

Can't get a socket on it...one side is practically against the header flange...the socket's side are to big...

Don't have a torch to heat it with...or I would...

Keep the ideas coming...

a torch is only like 10 bucks at home depot.

Try and get some kind of vice grips on it, even if it is perpendicular, then use a pipe wrench or something with leverage to turn it.

Maybe grind a slot in it with a dremel for a big flathead screwdriver, and if the bolt brakes so what, you are putting afrs on anyway.

Well I already have the heads on and bolted...I found some little files...maybe one of them will work ...and then I can get a flathead in there...

Thanks for the suggestions...keep them coming

So the problem is access to the bolt not that it's stuck?

try to cut a wrench down enough so it won't hit the tube and you can loosen it.

1. special wrenches form sears or home depot possibly, made for stripped bolts
2. vice grips
3. file down opposite sides and make them flat, then find a wrench to fit that
4. drill it or snap the bolt head off, it shouldn't hurt the header

if your not concerned about the old heads get a big hammer and a cold chisel and knock the head of the bolt off.if someone else is going to use the heads they can get the bolt out at a machine shop if they get them redone
