So my idle for my 1986 mustang was acting up so I bought a fuel injector because a dumb friend told me it was my fuel injector so my friend got me one. I tried to replace it but noticed that there was something stuck between the wire for the peddle. I removed and put the fuel injector together but didn't have a washer because the old one was kinda mealted on the injector so I scraped the old one ad place a new washer and connected everything back together. I turned on the car and it was working fine. Idle wasn't acting funny no more. But after 5 minutes lots of smoke from the exhaust started coming out and I checked under the hood and saw there was a leek between the fuel injector. I said what ever and pressed a little gas and it turned off I didn't bother touching it again( as you can read I don't know :poo: and thought I get advice please anyone )

first- it is very hard to read your post with the grammar and spelling errors.

What are you talking about here? are you taking about the throrrlw cable or TV cable? What was stuck>

There are no washers on the fuel injectors. Are you talking about the rubber O rings? There is one on the top and the bottom of each injector. You need to insall new ones on both ends and oil them so they don't tear when you install them- which you probably did. The injector is leaking either because it isn't seated or the O ring is torn.

So I need to ask WHY did you think you needed a new injector? What is wrong with the car.

Go back and install new O rings with a light smear of engine oil on them. Make sure the injector is fully seated in the intake and fuel rail Then run the codes to determine what was the original problem.
