I just had a body shop put on and paint a new cowl hood. Now the hood won't open and I'm not sure how to get it open, anyone have any ideas or experience with the same problem?

Make them open it and adjust it. They're the installer, it's their responsibility, IMO.

You can try and go through the grill and open the latch with a screwdriver. Ive had to do that before, not that hard

I've had to do that also, not too bad if you can get under it enough to see what you are doing.

My neighbor had work done at the body shop. He called me over to help him get the hood up on his civic, and I couldn't. Turns out they installed the latch backwards. doh!
