Ok here is my problem .. my dash is all torn apart and I cant get my air to blow through the vents.. which I dont care about... but I cant get it to go from cold to hot either like that knob isnt working b/c the linkage is still ... is there just a way to delete all of the knobs and vaccuum lines seeing as I dont have a/c anymore anyways and just open all the vents for heat and hook the fan up to a seperate switch??? I know there has to be a way any help would rock .. thanks

You can buy those little intstrument panels new. As I recall, they have plastic gears on them that get all chewed up. Check out 50resto.com and see what you can find.

Without vacuum, the doors will all default to full heat and full defrost. You would need a 30 amp, 4 position switch to control the blower. Why not just fix it properly?
