OK. I just got my door lock actuator replacement kit from 50resto.com and I can't seem to remove the old actuator. I got it loose from the mount, but can't seem to disconnent the rest of the assembly. What's the deal? Everyone made this sound SSSOOOOOO simple. I just don't want to break anything. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies, peeps. Anyway, I got the assembly out and hooked up the new actuator, now my locks don't work. Any ideas? I could really use a hand here with this issue.

Power is ran through both lock switches for some insane reason. Check for power in and out of the switches since you obviously don't have power at the actuators.

It was 30 minutes in between your replies. That's lunch time my friend.

jrichker has a nice write-up and replacing them. This will help you, even though you bought new ones.

OK, we're all done here. I pretty much figured everything out. I originally had to be somewhere so I was a bit rushed, but the appointment was postponed, making the job a lot easier. And yes, I did figure out that both power lock controls had to be connected for the locks to work. I also installed a new DC Control in a new location, the old one was cooked. Saw some corrosion coming out from the input terminals, not a good thing. Anyway, all is working. A productive day with the Stang, I must say.

OOOHHHH! Something else about the work I did yesterday. It cured my idle surge and stalling. Go figure.

that fixed you surging idle? my idle is going insane.... but I have replaced both my acutators. Maybe it is my underdrive pulley on my alternator not sending out enough voltage. That is wierd.

I'm actually thinking it had more to do with my DC Control for the fan. I can't imagine the solution was with the actuator. Check all of your grounds.
