Help with 98 Cobra Needed!

My 98 Cobra has been acting up lately. I will go out to start it and it does not want to idle. To keep it running, I have to keep giving it gas otherwise it will quit. It does not happen all the time but just periodically. Has anyone else had this problem or have an idea of where to start looking to try to fix it. I have been trying to figure out if there is a pattern or if it occurs at certain times more than others, but so far I see nothing. Sometimes when it does do it, it will fix itself and idle with in a minute but other times I have driven it as much as 10 mins before it will idle on its own.

Please let me know if you have experienced this or have an idea. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a possible bad IAC valve

Could possibly be bad MAF.

Something similiar happened to my '99 GT. Took it in when it was under warranty and they said they just had to replace a solenoid or something. It was a quick fix and they seemed to know exactly what was causing it. Sorry I couldn't be more specific about the part though.

Also sounds like a flaky IAC valve. Usually they simply die and that's all she wrote, but I have seen them cling to life for a while and give symptoms like you describe.
