I have a converter to splice from my amps, but not sure why there are two channels. The converter has a RIGHT and a LEFT input. Does this mean that I have to splice both my RIGHT and my LEFT amps? This is the only logical explanation I can think of. BTW, I have a 00 vert w/Mach460.

All help is greatly appreciated. I'm installing sat and want to have a good understanding before I dive in. Thx.

Well having the amp turn on may be more of a power issue. You may not have your blue signal wire telling the amp to turn on installed properly. The converter doesn't turn the amp on, it just takes the signal from your amps and tells the amp what to play.

A quick test to see if its your blue turn on cable is to unhook it, and just take another wire, and with your power and ground hooked up, take a jumper wire from your power input and touch it to your remote turn on. If your amp turns on, its your remote turn on wire, if it doesn't, then either your ground, power, or amp are out fault. (this is all assuming you don't have an electronic testing device)
