hey guys, there is a really annoying squeak coming from the front passenger side of my car. I recently replaced my struts and shocks (w. bilsteins) and just replaced the tie-rod ends, but the squeak did not go away. It happens whenever the suspension flexes, like when I hit a bump and sometimes when I turn the wheel. Let me tell you, its probably the most annoying and loud squeak I've ever heard and it makes my car look like a total piece. Any suggestions? Could it be the ball joints? thanks in advance

No I dought it is the balljoints, they (balljoints) can be moved up and down a little bit when they are no longer good or worn past their use. I would bet my bottom dollar that it is the inner tie rods, the ones in the steering rack. Is the car lowered? and do you have heavy rims? I went through this for a while then I just replaced the rack my self and got an alignment after. This is better than paying someone to fix the inner tie rods and you would still need an alignment. The steering racks at stangparts.com are pretty cheap. Try this: with the car turned on and being on a flat surface, leave it in neutral and keep moving the steering wheel left to right with youre hands at 10 and 2 if the "squeek" occurs it is probably the inner tie rods also have a freind or family member stand out side the car and just roll down the passanger side window both of you listen for the noise Jones out........

Could be one of the worn out rubber bushings in the front end somewhere, most likely a control arm.

well, I sprayed some white lithium grease on the ball joints and the squeak went away, they must be the problem then. its so annoying driving down the street and the first thing people hear is a god awful squeak. any idea how much balljoints cost? I know i need a press but i can get a loan tool from autozone
