I have a stock 289 (automatic) in my 68 coupe. I have decided to get the edelbrock power package, which includes matching 4v intake, 600 cfm carb, cam, and lifters. I am getting a distributor recurve kit and a pertronix unit. Plus, im also gonna get a dual 2.5" exhaust with 40 series flowmaster mufflers. Can anyone give me an estimate of how much hp this will add (I currently have 198 hp)?

Id say about 280-290 at the flywheel.

I have one of those intakes for sale if you are interested. Id also use a small road demon carb instead of the 1405/6 edelbrock carb.

I'd also recommend milling those Edelbrock heads to increase the comp ratio back up to what your's now has. The Ed heads have larger combustion chambers, which will lower your comp ratio. When swapping to aluminum heads, you want to increase or at least keep the comp ratio the same.
