Help With Convertible Rear Interior Panels.

Hey all,

I have been thinking I want to convert the rear side panels from the stock 89 ones, with the speakers buried, to 91-92 ones with the much more open speakers. I will be pulling the panel off in order to replace the motors and those plastic things at the base of the guide rod. just want to know if anyone has dene this. Anyone have tips? Things I should be looking for?

You’ll have to replace the front seat belts as well. They mount in a slightly different location. You’ll need to pull all the parts from a donor car. I think you’ll have to do some welding too. I started to do it on a previous car but stopped when I saw it was not just a simple swap.

Front seat belts? Oh, the shoulder/lap harness.

Yup. And there is a metal bracket that it goes on.

That’s actually the reason the style bars are listed for 91-93 foxes. The way the seatbelt for the 90 and down goes through it gets hung up on the mounting hardware.
