First time on the dyno. Base run. Only mods are Flow weld-ins and K&N drop without snorkel. The graph looks bad...THoughts?

The 3.73's will drop you afew HP, but your main problem according to your A/F is your too friggin' rich. Your at 12.0 from 3,000 RPM's and up. Get it tuned and you'll gain back your lost power.

god damn, i never seen a dyno graph looking like that. i know most look pretty rough before the smoothing effect is put on the computer but its nowhere as jagged as yours.

that is all over the place. i dont know what the heck is up with that. however the a/f is way messed up.

Yea, the first run the a/f was horrible, the 2nd run it flattened out. The car has never been tuned and probably needs a tuneup bad.

One thing they said that might be messing it up is my alternator. My battery light has been on for 2 years ever since I got a system. The batter is a new red top, but the alternator I think is crapping. At low rpms, the light is on. Once you get to WOT though, it dissapears. That could have something to do with it. :/ All I know is that I'm dissapointed...:(

You definetely have some problems, but with so few mos that makes it a little easier to diagnose. First your a/f is not THAT far off. The stock tune strives for 12:1 so you are a little rich, but the wavy lines in the a/f and the torque and power curves look like a problem and very well could be the alternator. You have to remember that the entire engine managment system depends on that voltage. If it isn't there, you are going to have problems.

If it was doing all that crap, you would audibly be able to hear the car like missing out and backing off... wouldnt have had a smooth ever increasing run. And whats with the guy driving it to the rev limiter lol..gosh dang. Anyways I never likes the "WinPep" dynos, i see ALOT of screwed up looking graphs and #s from them...actually mainly from them. If I were you, i would take it to another dyno jet and see what it does. If the same thing then you have got PROBLEMS...if not then I was right. I wouldnt want to be driving it around if it was that jacked up :nice: .

yea according to the graph you have drops in power every so often that go almost strait down. i would think you would be able to feel that driving the car on the street. do you feel the car surging or anything or does it accelerate smooth? im talking when you atre getting on it.

When I get on it, it's fine. The car pulls straight to 5,800. I don't feel that drop at all. But another member on here was there with me and his graph was a perfect bell. No drop. So I can't blame the dyno. He also had a few mods and an SCT2 mail-in tune and was able to put down 254/296. The only similarity was that he also had that wierd JUMPY a/f at the beginning. I think that was the dyno.

As you can see in my sig I was all set to blow her this summer, but it looks like I'll be doing some pre-blow mods to make sure she is in working order before I drop the 6# kenne on her. I was thinking:

-New 200amp alternator
-CAI
-75mm Throttle Body
-New Midpipe
-Catback
-3:73s
-SCT2 to tune the car for the mods

why would you put a CAI on it before you blow it? it will have to come right off...put on the new alternator, or ****...just go get yours tested to see if its screwy, and if it is get a new one then slap a KB on there.

You think your curve is jacked, check out my buddys' 88 5.0 Talk about plummit.. might as well change his shift points to 3,500.
