Fox Help With Power Steering Pressure Leak

Quick update: LMR replied to my email, not addressing the leaking hose at all and just saying:

"That rack will use any of the hoses since the main difference is the length between the years and with or without AC. The fitting where it going into the rack is going to be the same on each hose"

I sent them back my findings from looking up the mfg part numbers and links showing the hoses DO have different fittings. LMR have typically been pretty good about providing accurate info but on this one I'm left quite disappointed in the lack of knowledge on their end.

I picked up the "1990" hose yesterday with the Type II fitting I'm hoping will work and plan on installing it tonight. Fingers crossed for no leaks!

Hey guys, just wanted to give a quick update on the PS leak. I replaced the leaky pressure hose with the "1990" style hose I got from O'Reilly and it hasn't leaked since!

The install was much easier than the "91-93" style hose too, because the Type II fitting on the rack side allows it to spin much more freely and allow you to get the threads started. The Type III fitting on the 91-93 style was REALLY hard to spin by hand and really tough to get started on the rack side without a wrench.

It was also easier to install on the pump side because the fitting had a different style elbow that gave more clearance between it and the battery tray. For the Type III style I ended up removing the battery tray to get the pump side connected.

LMR wrote back to me thanking me for the info and said that they'd update their website to have proper pictures and info as well as refunded me the cost of leaky hose.
