Hey everyone,

I am new to the forum and I'm not really sure how to go about all of this. But, i'll give it a try.

I am desperately needing to either reupholster my driver side seat in my '95 GT. It is tan leather and it's definitely seen better days. The problem is that i'm just not exactly sure where to start with all of this. I have looked into the seat covers and all that, but I'm just not sure how I feel about those. Have any of you tried those and how did you feel about them? Also, I wanted to see if anyone could recommend a good place to either send off my seat to to have reupholstered in a good place to buy a replacement seat all together. Any ideas you guys may have would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums.

I had some tan seats and my drivers one was destroyed.

I contacted a company called cat skinz, they have a website, not sure what it is though.

Well basically they wanted $800 for tan leather with black inserts. Now mind you that is just the front, and just the COVERING. I would have to get them put on elsewhere.

I just spent $400 with summit and bought a set of their black racing seats.

Any good auto upholstery shop can handle that job. Local shops here were quoting me $450-$600 to redo my front and back seats in black synthetic leather

Everthing I have heard about them is good, but you do pay for what you get.

I ended up going with a Corbeau seat in my Focus when it needed to be replaced.

just get some outta a newer stang....cheap, and they bolt right in. I got front and back, perforated leather, 03 GT seats for 350 bucks, and usually tan seats are cheaper than the black.
