Hey guys, anyone know what size drain plug to get to FIX/Re-Tap the oil pan on my 99? The pans threads are stripped not the plug, thanks!

Boy, I don't know. That's not a common one to strip! Maybe take the plug to Home Depot and compare.

You could find a larger drain plug and tap the pan for the new plug, but be careful not to get metal shavings in the pan. If that doesn't work, you might be stuck pulling the pan and having it welded/ retapped.

From what I have seen and heard from others, that is the cheaper solution other than just replacing the pan itself. Good Luck!

I wonder if I could have a o2 bung welded over the hole and use that for a new plug? I have heard of ppl using a different sized oil plug but I have no idea what size.
