changed upper intake gasket on a 88 truck 302 and now the damn things barely runs and is blowing alot of black smoke. Anyone have any ideas? Would a piece of the gasket that fell in the runner be why it is doing this? Not saying a piece actually fell in there but not sure. Not alot of room to work with . Any help would be awesome

If its fuel injected it sounds to me like you forgot to plug the vacume line that goes to the MAP sensor. Check all the vacume lines and make sure there all correctly connected. That would be my best guess.

sounds like a fuel problem. too much gas...
