HELP ASAP!!! STOPPED RUNNING!!!

Okay, I am new to the whole tweecer software but the previous owner of my car installed it and tuned the car using it. My problem is that I just installed the software on my comp and when I followed the sticky on how to run a datalog and tried to start it, it wouldnt run. It wont idle and barely starts to run and immediately die out. What could I have done to cause this? Could I have made serious changed while simply trying to datalog? Help please my car is stuck now.

--I think I accidently clicked on the "Read EEC" Ford icon after loading the payload...did this override the custom setting that was programmed or something?

I didn't save anything when I tried to do this datalog but when I try doing anything with the car now it won't run. I have tried turning car on/off along with on/off the tweecer software but it still won't run. What could have caused this permanent change? Please Help! I am stranded now!

do you know what version of caledit/calcon your running?

The reason is that I noticed that the manual for datalogs (that I have seen) are for the older x.9 and a few steps have been removed with the newer 1.30a.

Do you have any of the files on the laptop of the orig. (tune that ran) tune?

If you went to "read eec" and then "write eec" from the same knob setting it should have just read and loaded the same tune on the knob. If you moved the knob before hitting the "write eec" then you would have wrote the tune to a diff. knob possition. Both of these should still have the "working" tune and run.

Now if you read the eec and it was on the "off" and you moved the knob, then you overwrote the tuen with the factory tune.

It is VERY important that you know/remember the steps and order of the things you do. Without knowing what you did in the proper order it is going to be realy hard to give much help.

The first time I tried to start my car with the tweecer in place I had the switch set to POS1. It turns out that the tweecer comes with some base tunes installed already.
POS1 for me happened to be a tune for a stock A9L, I think.
The car barely ran.

Also, many folks will load an incorrect calibration to the tweecer which they use to clear out the KAM. The previous owner may have done this?

Hope this fixes your problem,
Good Luck

Right now the only tune that will actually fire up and run is the factory tune. No knob position other than will even run at all. As far as the calibration saved there are three: A9L--56.0KB, a9l.cff--24.3KB, and DDX4--112KB. With my inexperience I am unsure of how to properly load these to the EEC, how do I? I have the 1.3 version also. I do appreciate your input and hope you can help me.

The A9L will not work with your computer. I'm not sure what the DDX file is for, but I use it to clear the KAM, so it isn't compatible with the A9L.

It sounds like you may need to start from scratch and create your own tune.

I think that might be too much for me to undertake right now. I am going to try to schedule an appointment with Kauffman Motorsports in PA and sell the tweecer rt

Dude, if the car runs on the stock tune then you are half way there.

The improvement I saw just from loading the correct Maf Transfer and injector settings was worth every penny of the initial investment.

Keep the faith

by "run" I mean that it pops and struggles to stay running at all...plus I can't don't have to mess with it...I have finals coming up

--plus I just scheduled an appointment with Kauffman Motorsports, so the twEECer RT is now going be sold anyway.
