Hi everyone.. I am new to this thread so...

I have an 02 gt 5 spd

I love my car.. but it's becoming a huge headache!! I recently am having issues that IDK if they have anything to do with the other... we'll start simple.. my driver side exhaust pipe blows COLD air... while the passenger side is blowing hot air. .. ANY IDEAS I can try are WELCOME she is hesitating and bucking like crazy.. no power..

I have a p0113 code.. IAT sensor 1 circuit high

p1151 h02 2/1 insufficient switching lean

now Ive replaced BOTH upstream sensors..

I have no mods to this vehicle neither...

PLEASE help...

The exhaust symptom and power loss suggest a blockage in the driver's side of the exhaust system. You may have defective catalytic converters or they've been fouled over time by additives (e.g. MMT).

That P1151 points to the driver's side (B2) so there's another clue.

Re the IAT code: Ensure the MAF connector is properly seated. Erase the codes and see if that one comes back.

Sounds like a bad converter, If they don't smog check where you live you could probably by an off road x or h pipe cheaper than having your cats replaced. I could see how a bad o2 could ruin a cat raw fuel kills them.

do what most of us do... off road x OR h pipe. about $150

saw some new ones on ebay $75 ea. you could just get a catted mid pipe. going to run you anywhere from $200-$600 depends on brand. and if new or used.

i would check craiglist. should find used stock h-pipe cheap. i sold mine for $75

for pennies more you can get a mid pipe with high flow cats (one each side) and have a nice sounding emmissions legal ride. unless your in cali which even stock may fail. lol

I don't think you mentioned "tapping" as a symptom.

The tapping sound may have been an exhaust leak on the driver's side at the ball-connection where the midpipe joins the manifold. If the cats were clogged as badly as it sounds, the pressure ahead of them must have been pretty substantial. The sound may have been the pressure escaping through a leak.

Glad the problem is solved. FWIW, how were the injectors diagnosed as being faulty?
