What is this and what the hell is it doing on my Notchback? The black hose to the left did not go to anything so I guess I don't need it if I didn't miss it. What is the purpose of that hose?

Thanks,
Ben

That is the Baro

On a non-mass air cars it is hooked to the intake to take manifold pressure. On mass air cars it goes to atmosphere. Do not remove it if you are injected.

cool, just dont plug the hose end or route it into vacuum. Leave it facing down so no water can collect in it.

I know! Stangnetters rule. I have a lot more questions coming up. This is just a warm up. Tonight I found about 11 different plugs or wires that lead to nothing and I have no idea what they are for. Car ran fine without them, thinking about snipping them off and making the engine compartment look that much neater.
