Ok all so my beast has been sitting for ever and i just attended my first nmra ford nationals at the Atlanta dragway and it was awesome. So now i need to find out what would be some good combinations with what i have. My car is 91 GT with a full exhaust, mac shorty headers, off road h pipe, flowmasters. 3.73s in the rear, F303 cam with 1.7 roller rockers, gear drive, underdrive pulleys, alum. driveshaft, msd 6al, 65mm throttle body, cold air kit. Everything else pretty much stock as for major components like intake, heads, injectors, and mass air meter. Ive been thinking about goin with cobra, gt40 or trickflow track heat intake, with maybe some trickflow twisted wedge heads and possibly a C&L MASS air meter with 19/24lb injectors. i wanna street strip car but i wanna go fast, with plans in the future way future of going blown by either a charger or turbo kit. i want the basics first so lets hear some feed back, thanks. Oh yeah i also looked at the trick flow top end kit, but i like my cam and rockers but i guess i could change out if it is a better option.

I like the Trick Flow H/C/I kit... but if you're going to get serious about spending some time on the drag strip the biggest things you didn't mention are sticky tires and good suspension.

well i do have a jamex suspension dropped 1.5 all around, but i do want to put some uppers and lowers and subframe connectors. also thinking about maybe going coil overs from upr or someone but knowing thats a good thing to have as far as good hook up and suspension i want to get the motor going then work on that setup.

I'm also a fan of the Trick Flow top end kit. That plus a basic Vortech kit and you'll have a proven 400-450 rwhp.

Listen to Sharad, he really knows what is talking about. Subframes are a most for suspension. I good suspension will help your ETs alot.

I like the coilovers in the front. Honestly, I'm not crazy about the rear coilovers though, and my car has them! You give up a little bit of tire clearance in the rear with the coilovers back there... and my wheelwells were already stuffed with 275 Drag Radials.

Full length sub frame connectors are worth their weight in gold.

cool so surely ive always wanted upper and lower control arms and sub frames just never got around to it plus i garaged my car for the past 5 yrs with occasional cranks. That i will do for sure, so i as well think the trickflow top end kit would be awesome, but.... to try and save a few bucks what do you all think would work with what i have. Intake wise and yes ive read that with out heads it doesnt matter but what is your alls opinion on cobra, gt40, typhoon intakes? I almost bought an explorer intake at the swap meet at this recent nmra show i went to for 100 bucks but decided not to waste my flow and save it for something nicer and better.

Well the explorer intake is the gt40 intake lol. Practically the same as the cobra intake as well.

well ive heard it is similar to the cobra intake i just dont like the look of it plus that one was really dirty needed a lot of clean up, no bolts etc so i passed on it.
