hesitation after start up

this has only happened the past 3 times i have driven my car but it worrys the hell out of me. I start it up and when i put it in gear to go i almost feels like it wants to die...so the last time it happend i mashed the gas it started to take off and then hesistated and jerked at 1500rpms...then about 3 seconds after that the cars takes off like normal and acts fine. It only seems to happen if i have left the car sitting for awhile, like overnight! I think it isnt getting enough fuel or it might be bad gas does anyone else experience this? my car only has 12k miles on it, does it need a tune up?

clean the IAC and might want to clean the MAF if that doesnt fix it ...

the iac is the part on the throttle body?...not the plate but the inlets...i knew where it was on my 5.0

well it looks the same as on a 50. just look more up towards the intake.

mine started doing the same thing, & it makes some bad noises when it starts up too when it has set for a little while. it's at ford right now getting a new engine (completely different situation) & i'm gunna have them check that & my heads as well just to make sure i don't have the valve guide problem

change the fuel filter

no you won't need a new engine. i'm getting a new engine cause i let sears "change" my oil. but when they "changed" my oil, they didn't put any back in
