I would like to say hi. I just bought a 96 Cobra last night, it was a steal. White, vert, SHM DOHC forged with a KB and a bunch of Hotchkis suspension parts (pics coming soon). It was only 4K and needs a little work. This isn't my first stang or time on this sight. Previous includes 96GT and 04 GT. I've always used stangnet, such a wealth of information here.:flag:
 
$4k for a 96 Cobra is a fuggin steal!! I scored one for 6k once and thought that couldnt be beat.

Yes, we need pics. The 96 was the best of the B head Cobras. I see in your screen name you have KB. Is the Cobra blown as well?

Yes, it does look like there is a KB on this Cobra along with a forged engine :drool:

Can't wait to see some pictures :D

Pics will be tomorrow. Here is what it needs to be a reliable driver, clutch is slipping bad, runs rich at low rpm and lean at high rpm, so bad you can smell the gas in the exhaust. I will replace the suspension also but it works for now. Also needs a new top, it has a couple of small rips. Promise pics tomorrow.
 
Also your fuel issue is more then likely the tune. Good idea to have a dno tune done to it. Do you know what fuel injectors and fuel pump is in it? If you have a BAP you would be better off removing it and swaping in a 255lph pump. You can clean the MAF too as they cause many AF issues. Does it have a CEL?

There is def. an issue with the tune. I've known the guy I bought the car from for over 2yrs. He tried to have it tuned and couldn't get it right, as of now it is on the factory tune. It does have a BAP and BAS, also AM powerpipe. He thought they couldn't tune it right b/c the injectors were to small, so he bought new ones 42's I think, they are in the trunk. CEL is on but he hollowed the cats and didn't get MIL eliminators. Thanks for the input I'll look into the 255lph. Still need to due all the standard tuneup stuff and replace the clutch.
