HID question. tryed searching

Hello everyone. I came across a really good deal on a HID kit. It is a 9004 Xenon kit that my friend had in his 90 Mustang GT. I bought them for my grand cherokee but was wondering if it is possible to mod it to use it in my 96 Mustang. Do I have to get a different bulb? What needs to be done? Thanks for the help.

yeah, you should only need a new bulb that fits the stang,most of them if not all use the same connectors to the ballast,and if you have to just get the bulbs from the same company you got the kit from and they should fit,the only thing that may not work is the headlight harness into the ballast, if there the same bulb then it will work as it should plug in or else you would need to splice the low beam

I beleive a 9004 will fit a 9007 housing as the 9007 bulb design is similar exect the 9007 has the shield in front of it. It doesn't matter either way because the focal point is different from a halogen bulb and you're gonna blind everyone else regardless.

I'd suggest asking on www.hidplanet.com, but P&P kits are heavily frowned upon there, but some kind soul might give you the answer you are looking for
