hiding my wires finally have questions.

ok, where do the gauge sending wires come out of the firewall on a 89 ex 2.3. on the drivers side or the pass side. what are the colors and such also. thanks for your help.

one more thing. this is a carbed v8. the ecu can be removed along with that harness, without messing up the gauges or other things in the car right. i think i can do it but not sure.

ok i found out that the sending wires come through the pass. side. can i still remover the 4 cyl. computer and wire the sending units in to the gauge cluster. does anybody know if the 2.3 engine temp sensor is the same as the 5.0 temp sensor, are they 1 or 2 wires. this is confusing. i will get aftermarket stuff one day but i don't want a gauge cluster that has non working gauges.
