Seems that my car is running really rich. I hooked up my gauge and when I turned it over and let it ilde my gauge was well past 40psi..in fact the needle was burried on the other side well past the last number. What could be the issue? When I hook up my gauge to my SVT contour i get a normal reading, so I know it isn't the gauge. I am getting a code 95 which has something to do with my pump. I installed a 255 Walbro a little while back. Did i need to install a AFR when i did the pump upgrade? Any thoughts.

did the regulator go south? unless you are overcoming the regulator, the pulsewidth will shorten to accomodate the greater FP.

i would check for kinks in the line and the regulator.

good luck.

I wil have to see if i got a highpressure regulator. I just replaced my regulator a week or so ago when then I was having some bucking problems, which didn't solve the problem. What could code 95 indicate with the fuel pump?

What kind of symptoms would I see if I installed a high pressure pump? At one time my car ran fine with the pump, but never checked the my fuel pressure after the install so I could have had the same reading back then.

check the return line, you might have kinked it when you put the new pump in and put the tank back up, I know I've done it before

Good point. Since I dropped the tank and put it back myself I could have done that.

Code 95 - Possible bad fuel pump ground or open between fuel pump and pin 8 at PCM (Fuel Pump Monitor signal) - Power / Fuel Pump Circuits

For 87-90 model cars, to help troubleshoot the 95 code, follow this link for a wiring diagram http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/engine/images/fuel-alt-links-ign-ac.gif

For 91-93 model cars, help troubleshoot the 95 code, follow this link for a wiring diagram http://www.autozone.com/images/cds/gif/large/0900823d80195963.gif

Check the black wire that comes out of the tank; it is the fuel pump ground. It goes to a 2 wire connector and then ground to the chassis. If the connections get dirty or corroded, you will lose fuel pressure.
