I checked through the idle serge check list and still can't figure this out. I went through the steps to reset the idle. When I do set the idle with the IAC disconnected it idles fine and smooth but I had to set it at 850-900rpm or it would stall. When I hook up the IAC again it idles even higher at 1200rpm and the rpms hang when you give it a shot of gas before settling back to 1200 rpm. The IAC is new but aftermarket and not Ford. I have addressed all of the vacuum leaks I had so I am stumped on what the issue could be. Anyone have problems with aftermarket IAC?
