Higher RPM's

Id like to raise my redline....what can i do to accomplish this....and how do I know what is a safe limit?

A chip or tuner can do this, but you start losing hp and tq before redline anyway so it doesn't do much for ya.

yep, unless you are looking at major engine mods, new/ported heads, cams, power adder, etc. increasing your useable RPM range is not necessary on a stock or mildly modified motor

Youll at minimum need stronger valve springs if you want to try and spin it any higher. But like every else said, you're just making powerless racket at that rpm.

some people think that higher the rpm's the more power it must be making

simple... cams and heads.. tune... and there u have it..

my .02.

raising the revlimiter is easy. chip, tune, etc.

Rasing the engines redline would require cams, intake to do it properly. headporting would be a big plus.

would not go much higher than 6500rpm on the stock internals from what I have read. someone else might have better info there.
