hmm power steering pump making loud noise.

i dont really know how long its been making the noise but i can say that its loud and annoying. its leaking fluid like crazy and i keep filling it up just to see if the noise will stop but it doesnt. is my ps pump shot? if so im just gonna yank it off.

Pull it out and run over it a couple of times...

Ford pumps do not like to run low on fluid, if you have run it low a few times then you need to replace the pump with a remanufactured unit. There is nothing you can do to the one you have now to make the noise go away..

Or you could get ride of that crappy power steering system all together and go with a Flaming River manual rack.. Soo much better feel then the overly power assisted factory ford system..
