Hey All.
A friend gave me a Holley vacuum secondary carb and I need to ID it. It has a Motorcraft tag on it and some of the numbers on the tag match the ones on the choke horn.
# on horn:
D2JL-9510-E
List 6576
394

On Tag:
D2JL E
C-3J25

It would be nice to know model and size for getting parts and it would even be cool to know what it was originally from. It looks a lot like a 4160.
Thanks,
Gene

Well, it appears to be a Marine carb.

http://www.carbkitsource.com/carbs/catalog/F/F-marine-index.html

Is there anything seriously different about a "Marine" carb to make it unusable on a car or truck? Would using it on the street be as simple as using a kit and/or float for a "Land Based" application? Or are the mods required too in depth to make it not worth the bother?
Thanks Again,
Gene

I found it here:
OMC Sterndrive/Cobra Carburetors - iboats.com

IMHO, there isn't a problem going marine to street, but street to marine, something about extra backfire protection.

I would look for a regular street carb to use, there are just too many around...
