Hey guys, I just bought a Holley spring kit . What is the easiest way to go about changing the spring? Does the arm from the side of my 750 vac secondary have to be taken off? I want to change from heavy(black) to a lighter spring.
Remove the choke assembly. Then remove the whole sec. diphram housing ( 3 screws and the c clip on the arm) once it's off, unscrew the 4 top screws and remove the cover. Change the spring and put the thing back together. If you have a Holley rebuild kit, use one of the small rubber O rings on the sec actuator arm to attach it to the linkage. It will stay put and is far easier to deal with than that tiny ass clip.
You might want to spend the extra few bucks and get the quick change kit, makes it alot easier later..and it's alot easier to put the thing back together without the spring in it
