home made air dam today

finally the air dam pics

here is the air dam

the scoop is a plastic pot...el randall co. #el32 i cut it with aa hot knife at an angle from one side the bottom to the top....then cut hole in the bottom to fit mettalic dryer vent hose..tthe plastic is great to work wit and molds nicely with a propane torch...tthis plastic #32 pot fits perfectly and with a hot screw driver for holes it is secured with screws going up into the foam inside bumber and from bottom with zip strips...the power gain is very noticable especially at higher speeds. I took off my filter body and melted that to fit a metal dryer pipe and allow good air flow all around filter..this pipe then fits easy into dryer hose.....which feeds down to scoop..I did have to bend back plastic shield at side of bumper..I then mad a styrofoam plug for the ram air scoop for heavy rain..it blocks the front entrance but does not fit too tight to smother it...this is by far the most inexpensive noticable power boost...you don't need cai with this set up because of the amount of rammed air

I made a ram air system on my 93 that i had and ran the ducting through my fog light and i used an epoxy to run the ducting into the air box. Just dont know about the Electrical tape.
