Hood Fell down :(

I had my hood stored somehow it was knocked over in the middle of the night, it was off my car because were putting in a new engine. It fell and landed on a piece of concrete denting it and ****ed up the paint, depressing.

I know how you feel. I had my car at the auto shop on base, the hood wasn't bolted up and I hated it when people took my outside parking spot so I would leave the hood in it. One day I forgot it was there and parked on top of it.

Yeah, I got distracted and forgot to put my hood pins back in recently after tinkering with the battery cables after the car had been sitting a while. You know the rest of the story; got up to abut 20 mph and the hood came up; bent it right at the front of the hood hinges. Oh well, the hood was a POS reproduction steel hood anyway that seemed to flex way too much just against the stock hood springs. Guess its time to get the cowl hood I've been wanting to convert to a 351W stroker.

I hope you didn't have a fresh paint job, although I guess I hope even more that you didn't have a good quality paint job that is not fresh which will make it harder to match. Good luck.
