Hood pins worn out?

My 2005 has hood pins installed but they might be worn out? You know how you slide the pin in then flip it over to 'lock' it in? These ones flip pretty easily with little resistance then while driving come undone and fall out. Anyone experience this? Just buy new pin 'clips'? It's not a Shelby but they are the heavier aluminum ones like the Shelbys.

The ring gets stretched or collapses I have taken them off to pin and twisted them a bit and put them back on the pin and they work again .

Just a follow-up...the one end of the pin on each one was popped out of the hole so the ends were basically lined up. I popped the one end back in the hole and they have tension again so all fixed.
