I bought my '92 mustang with the hood release broken and hanging and i cant seem to find out where it mounts exactly. Is it in the center or more to the left or what?

Also, i need to know what size the stock pulleys are on a '92 stang. trying to figure out if i have underdrive pulleys or not.

Now guys, I can't believe nobody out there knows where their hood release knob is mounted under the dash. We can't find holes under the dash that seem to line up with the mounting holes in the release handle. Refresh our minds please...does it mount to the metal plate under the plastic trim plate? Is the handle mounted in the center or towards the left knee? We just can't remember where mine was on the old 93 so some help here would really be appreciated.

Also, if anyone knows the diameter of stock crank, alt, and water pump pulleys that info could really help too.
Thanks everyone,
Ken and Michael

Here is the best I can do with the hood release.

As for the pulleys. The stock crank is about 6 inches in diameter. You should be able to tell if the others were changed as most aftermarket pulleys do not resemble the stock ones and look much different.

Good Luck.
